For the past several years, The Fairgrounds has served as a place for growing real food, celebrating, performing, listening to music, exhibiting, screening films, and more.
Through a generous grant from the Knight Foundation, we've transformed this once vacant and unwelcoming plot of land into an open space for our neighbors to enjoy.
But now, the property has been listed for sale, and may soon transform yet again--but into something out of our control.
Our best course of action is to celebrate the stewardship of this land, reflect on the impact, and look into the future.
We invite you to join us for a free dinner & conference, where together we'll listen to community leaders who can speak to urban development, gardening, public space, and the changing landscape of our neighborhood.
Our hope is to educate ourselves and others on how to make a positive impact for the community.
