Unusually Human

OPENING + LIVE PERFORMANCE, August 12th 7-10 PM

"Unusually Human" is an exhibition featuring 2015 Cloud Prize winners Michelle Boulé and Joe DeVera, who were selected by juror Phong Bui of The Brooklyn Rail. The Cloud Prize is a monetary award given by Cloud Project to new and emerging artists residing in the US.

The opening reception will take place on August 12th from 7-10 PM at Little Berlin, in Philadelphia. The exhibition will be on view Saturdays and Sundays 12-5 PM and by appointment through August 28th.

The primary contribution to "Unusually Human" from Michelle Boulé is a live performance at 8PM during the opening (please arrive by 7:45 for priority seating.)

Boulé will present excerpts from her newest performance work "The Monomyth," which explores individualism in what has been called "The Age of Loneliness." DeVera will transform the gallery with sculptural works derived from his material-based art process that explores our ability to visually access human events at various levels simultaneously, guided by the question: "How did we get here?"

Free and open to the public.
