Luke Leyden graduated from Rowan University in 2010 with a BFA in photography and printmaking. He works in a number of mediums including photography, digital media, and sculpture. His work focuses on an exploration of ones self and ones environment. Based in Philadelphia he has been heavily influenced by the urban environment and has been exploring the complex relationship between the natural and artificial through photography and sculpture. Since undergrad he has been organizing DIY exhibitions in alternative gallery spaces including cafes, bars, and house venues; mixing medias including 2 and 3 dimensional works, performance, music, and poetry with the hope to encourage the less experienced (or traditionally artistic) to engage with and be inspired by art. As a part of Little Berlin Luke hopes to capture an even wider audience and experiment with multimedia exhibitions.
